Driven off the planet by celestial forces, they were banished to a distant corner of the multiverse. For millions of years, they plotted revenge, working their schemes through proxies and pawns. The D'Harque had powerful mental and physical abilities, and were able to corrupt humans to become their willing and militant servants. When the time was right, the demons struck, tearing open a rift in spacetime and invading the earth itself, to claim what was theirs. Their struggle to retake Earth was opposed by the hero team [[Sierra Force]], in conjunction with a fighting order known as the [[Sisterhood of the White Flame]], whose members included [[Manna]], [[Mantra]], and [[Fury]]. Their pawn, the supervillain [[Avatar|Avatar,]] masqueraded as a hero until his treachery was discovered.
