Crucible:Watchstar 2020

In one possible dystopian future, the world was conquered by ARGUS, an artificial intelligence designed and built by MAGUS and Simon Matthews. Taking control of Earth's computer networks, ARGUS killed or assimilated the Earth's superhumans, enforcing its tyrannical rule with cybertroopers cloned from the original Cobra. The only remaining force to fight for freedom was Watchstar, the world's last superheroes.

The future Mobius travelled decades back in time to enlist the aid of Modern Age Watchstar. Together with the Watchstar of the future, the heroes overthrew ARGUS and restored human freedom.

The consequences of this battle have yet to be determined.

• Colonel Jeb Sutherland was a veteran of countless battles. As a commander in the resistance army, he assumed Watchstar team leadership after the deaths of Seeker and Surge. He raised Dakota as his own after his best friend, Kodiak, was killed fighting ARGUS.
• Mobius is the sole member of the original Watchstar hero roster. He travelled back in time to enlist the aid of Watchstar and prevent his dark future from ever occuring.
• Dakota is the daughter of Kodiak and Jade. Born with the superhuman strength and cosmic energies of her parents, she grew up in the ruins of New York, using her superpowers to survive, until she was taken in by Rebel. She is romantically involved with Jason Young. Discovering she was pregnant with a son after ARGUS' overthrow, she named the child Kody.
• Trace (Jason Young) is the son of the superhero Surge. Like his father, his parahuman electrical powers manifested themselves at puberty. With the power to travel through computer networks, he was considered by ARGUS to be the most dangerous threat to its rule.
• Protector (Rico Salazar) was originally the technical support genius of the Watchstar support team and later married Booster. When Booster was killed by ARGUS, Rico refurbished the powered armor originally belonging to Jason Smith and wore it as a hero. He sacrificed himself to save Watchstar in a climactic battle at ARGUS main headquarters.
