Real Name: Lucius Gray

Background: Lucius Gray was a parahuman with the ability to project light and heat. He originally used his powers for good under the name Lightmaster and teamed with the Silver Age superhero Mentor to form the Crusaders. However, the parahuman persecutions of the Silver Age led him to strike out as a terrorist for mutant rights, using the new name Lucifer. He committed many acts of villainy in his cause, and was the inspiration for later parahuman terrorists like  Factor M.

Lucifer was killed during the Hero Wars as a result of the mutagenic virus. At the end, he was repentant of all the violence he had committed and hoped for eventual forgiveness. The superheroes Inferno and Corona are his children.

Powers: Lucifer had complete mental control over the electromagnetic spectrum and could generate energy at will. He could project coherent light and radiation from his body.

Skills: Lucifer was a trained physicist and expert in parahuman biology.

Technology: As a physicist and scientist, Lucifer made use of advanced technology for his times.
