The Outcasts were a team of outlaw superheroes operating throughout the darker corners of New York City. Each member was, in some way, an outsider to normal society: fugitives, vigilantes, aliens, former criminals, or damaged souls who found purpose among others like themselves.
Moving silently through alleys, rooftops, abandoned warehouses, and hidden criminal networks, the Outcasts specialized in confronting threats that conventional heroes and law enforcement often overlooked. Their battles were fought in shadowy places, far from the spotlight of celebrity superhero teams.
Unlike public organizations such as Watchstar, the Outcasts cultivated secrecy and anonymity. Rumors about the team spread through criminal circles like ghost stories, and many ordinary citizens doubted they even existed.
The group was held together primarily by the leadership of Gunslinger and the fierce loyalty shared among its members.
Members
[edit]
Gunslinger
Matt Davis The team’s leader, a relentless vigilante and master of firearms and tactical combat.
X
Marlee Madison A mysterious masked vigilante whose true identity remained largely unknown even within the team.
Shadow
Deke Slye A former cat burglar who turned his stealth and infiltration skills toward fighting crime.
Nightshade
A small blue extraterrestrial stranded on Earth and drawn into the team’s strange family of outcasts.
Avenger
Paul Murasaki A lethal ninja and trained killer struggling to channel his violent instincts toward justice.
Fall Of The Team
[edit]The Outcasts eventually met disaster when the powerful crime lord Petro launched a direct assault against the organization. The attack culminated in the death of X and the destruction of much of the team’s operational network.
The loss shattered the group.
Following the collapse of the organization, the surviving members drifted apart and the Outcasts officially disbanded.
Legacy
[edit]Though no longer active as a formal team, the surviving members of the Outcasts continue to operate independently throughout New York City and beyond. From time to time, circumstances still draw them back together.
Among criminals and vigilantes alike, the Outcasts remain legendary figures associated with the hidden wars fought in the shadows beneath the city.
