I am here to erase it.” <br>— Captain Savage </div> Captain Savage is a time-displaced soldier from a possible future in which humanity stands on the brink of extinction. A decorated hero in his own era, he became a ruthless extremist in the present, waging a one-man war against parahumans in an attempt to prevent the catastrophe he believes is inevitable. == Origin == In a possible 23rd century, Earth has been ravaged by the Biogenic Wars, a prolonged and devastating conflict between baseline humanity and genetically altered beings known as parahumans. In this future, the last remnants of so-called “pure strain” humanity fight a losing battle for survival. Key Savage rose to prominence as one of their greatest champions. A soldier of exceptional skill and unyielding conviction, Savage became a symbol of resistance against the parahuman threat. But even heroes cannot win unwinnable wars. Faced with extinction, the remnants of humanity turned to desperate measures. == Mission To The Past == Savage volunteered for a one-way mission: travel back in time and prevent the rise of parahumans before they could spread and dominate the world. The mission had no return. Armed with advanced technology and absolute certainty in his cause, Savage arrived in the early 21st century—specifically, New York City—where the first significant parahuman populations had begun to emerge. From the moment of his arrival, he began his campaign. == War In The Present == Captain Savage’s methods are direct and uncompromising. To him, parahumans are not individuals but a future threat that must be eliminated at its source. He does not negotiate. He does not hesitate. His crusade has brought him into repeated conflict with modern-day superheroes, who view his actions as indiscriminate and unjustified. To Savage, they are obstacles—well-meaning perhaps, but dangerously naive. Among his most significant confrontations was a battle with Shadow, during which Savage triggered a massive explosion. He was presumed killed. No body was recovered. == Powers == Captain Savage possesses no superhuman abilities. His threat lies elsewhere. == Skills == Savage is one of the most highly trained combatants of his era. * Expert commando training * Mastery of firearms and advanced weaponry * Skilled in unarmed combat * Demolitions expert * Stealth and infiltration specialist * Tactical and strategic battlefield awareness He combines discipline with fanatic resolve. == Technology == Savage’s equipment originates from his future timeline. * Advanced weapons systems beyond current technology * Specialized gear for infiltration and survival * Protective equipment adapted to hostile environments * Optical goggles compensating for his era’s dim, polluted sunlight His technology gives him a significant edge over contemporary forces. == Personality == Captain Savage is driven, disciplined, and utterly convinced of the righteousness of his mission. He does not see himself as a villain, but as a soldier making necessary sacrifices to save humanity. This certainty makes him dangerous. He cannot be reasoned with because, in his mind, the argument has already been settled—by history. Every action he takes is justified by the future he remembers. == Legacy == Captain Savage represents one of the most troubling kinds of adversary: the hero of another timeline, transformed by circumstance into a threat in this one. If his future is real, he may be trying to save the world. If it is not, he is destroying it for nothing. Either way— he will not stop. </div> CCNav
