== Early Career ==

Fascinated by the mysteries hidden beneath the sea, Byrne developed a reputation for reckless bravery and an almost obsessive need to push deeper into unknown waters.

That obsession eventually destroyed him.

During an experimental dive into an unexplored ocean trench, Byrne and his crew discovered traces of an ancient bio-mutagenic substance unlike anything known to modern science. The expedition ended catastrophically when the mutagen contaminated Byrne directly, triggering rapid and uncontrollable physiological changes.

Most of the crew never returned.

Byrne did.

But no longer as entirely human.

== Transformation ==

The mutagen fused Byrne’s body with traits resembling those of colossal deep-sea cephalopods. His physiology expanded and mutated, granting him immense strength, multiple tentacles, toxic secretions, and a nervous system capable of interfacing instinctively with marine life.
