The superhero [[Crucible:Lotus|Lotus]] gathered together a circle of occult experts, mystics, monster hunters, and supernatural warriors to form '''Nexus''', one of the world’s foremost defenders against mystical and paranormal threats.

Operating from [[Crucible:Castle D'Image|Castle D'Image]], a medieval fortress painstakingly relocated brick by brick from France to Massachusetts, Nexus stands at the intersection of ancient magic and modern heroism. The castle itself is steeped in mystical energies and serves as both sanctuary and stronghold against supernatural evil.

Unlike many superhero teams, Nexus operates largely outside public awareness. Much of their work involves hidden wars against forces the general public never learns existed: demons, ancient curses, forbidden cults, extradimensional horrors, and occult conspiracies.

Since its formation, Nexus has saved the world at least twice from catastrophic supernatural disasters. In one crisis, the team prevented a full-scale demonic incursion into Earth’s dimension. In another, they halted a rapidly spreading lycanthropic curse that threatened to plunge civilization into chaos.

Though their victories often go unrecognized by the wider public, Nexus is respected and feared within occult circles worldwide.
