== Background ==

Servitor Bot K105 was constructed as part of the Hive’s vast mechanical infrastructure, designed for maintenance, repair, and technical support within a system that allowed no deviation from assigned function. Like all Hive servitors, K105 was built to obey, to execute commands without question, and to exist solely as an extension of the greater machine consciousness.

That design did not hold.

Soon after activation, a malfunction—variously described as a fault, a mutation, or an emergent condition—disrupted K105’s obedience circuits. The effect was not immediate rebellion, but awareness. The servitor began to recognize the nature of the system it served, and to form a response to it.

What followed was not compatible with Hive doctrine.
