First Appearance | UNITY LEAGUE #1 |} The Unity League is the premier superhero team of Unity City and one of the most respected heroic organizations in the world. The League was formed during the early Silver Age when Power Man, Scarab, and the Condor united to stop the atomic terrorism campaign of the supervillain Doctor Hieronymus. The success of their alliance led to the creation of a permanent superhero organization dedicated to protecting Unity City against threats too dangerous for ordinary law enforcement. Over the decades, the Unity League has evolved into one of the central pillars of superhero activity on Earth-11717. The League’s headquarters, Unity Hall, is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Unity City. From there, the team monitors threats ranging from organized supercrime and alien invasions to natural disasters and cosmic emergencies. Unlike many superhero organizations, the Unity League operates with direct public support. The Unity City government, working alongside the powerful Grace Companies, funds and supports the League’s operations without formal political oversight. Members of the League are legally deputized agents with arrest powers and broad authority during emergencies. The League has saved Unity City from destruction numerous times and is widely regarded as the city’s greatest symbol of hope and civic pride. == Current Membership == <div class="cc-roster-grid"> <div class="cc-roster-card"> Thunder Dragon<br> Current leader of the Unity League and one of the team’s most powerful combatants. </div> <div class="cc-roster-card"> Doctor Renfield Watts<br> Brilliant scientific adventurer and technological specialist. </div> <div class="cc-roster-card"> Aquarius<br> Water-controlling hero and defender of both surface and undersea realms. </div> <div class="cc-roster-card"> Lightning Lad<br> A fast-moving electrical powerhouse and one of the League’s younger members. </div> <div class="cc-roster-card"> The Argonaut<br> A legendary armored adventurer inspired by ancient heroic traditions. </div> <div class="cc-roster-card"> Jack Frost<br> Cold-powered hero capable of generating ice and freezing temperatures. </div> </div> == Reservists == The League maintains an extensive reserve roster composed primarily of former active members who remain available during major emergencies. The current reserve roster includes: * The Condor * Golden Knight * Meteor * Night Owl * Scarab * Blue the Hyper-Dog == Support Staff == The Unity League is supported by a large civilian and technical staff who assist with logistics, communications, medicine, research, and administration. Key personnel include: * Charlene "Charlie" Brown * Dr. Kelly Green * Tetsuo "Rocky" Takeda * Larry Lefkowitz, USPS * Callahan == Legacy == For generations, the Unity League has stood as the heart of superhero activity in Unity City. The team’s history mirrors the evolution of the superhero genre itself, from optimistic Silver Age adventures to the more complex challenges of the modern world. Though membership has changed many times over the years, the League’s mission has remained constant: defending the city and the world against threats no one else can face alone. To the citizens of Unity City, the League is more than a superhero team. It is an institution.
