= Characters = The world of ''Days of Miracle and Wonder'' is populated by an extraordinary assortment of adventurers, masterminds, explorers, air aces, mystery-men, inventors, monarchs, criminals, journalists, occult investigators, and scientific wonders. Some stand as champions of justice, while others pursue wealth, power, conquest, or stranger ambitions still. Together they form the cast of one of the most remarkable eras in human history. Unlike many heroic universes, the inhabitants of the Miracle Age are not neatly divided into categories of "heroes" and "villains." A daring sky pirate may be an outlaw in one tale and a savior in the next. A celebrated scientist may unleash forces beyond human control. A masked vigilante may inspire hope while operating outside the law. History remembers deeds, not labels. Many of these figures possess unusual talents, remarkable inventions, occult knowledge, or sheer force of personality. Others are ordinary men and women who find themselves caught up in extraordinary events. Whether battling gangsters in the streets of Cosmopolis, exploring forgotten civilizations beneath the Earth, crossing the Atlantic by autogyro, or confronting mysterious forces from beyond the stars, these individuals helped define the age. The following pages describe the notable personalities of the Miracle Age, their allies, enemies, achievements, and adventures.
