Although Manhunter built the Lair for his own use, it has become an unofficial base for the Night Shift. [[Mistral]], [[Overcoat]], and [[Oz Traynor]] have all operated from the Lair, using it as a meeting place, staging area, communications post, and emergency refuge.

This arrangement suits the team’s nature. The Night Shift is not a polished, corporate-backed, daylight superhero organization. It is a street-level team that moves through the hidden, damaged, and dangerous parts of the city. The Lair gives them a place to plan without being observed, recover without attracting attention, and prepare for missions that official agencies either cannot see or cannot touch.

For Mistral and Overcoat, the Lair offers gear, intelligence, concealment, and Manhunter’s hard-earned experience. For Oz Traynor, it provides the systems he needs to support the team in the field. For Cyrus, it means the place he built has become more than a private refuge. It has become the Night Shift’s nerve center beneath Brooklyn.
