Pacific City contains a mixture of old and new districts. The historic mission quarter preserves the city’s colonial roots, while the waterfront combines working docks, restored warehouses, seafood markets, clubs, ferries, and expensive apartments with ocean views. The university district is crowded with labs, bookstores, student housing, research institutes, and cafés where arguments about ethics and robotics can last until dawn.

Several neighborhoods are known for large parahuman populations, activist organizations, specialty clinics, and cultural centers. These districts are often vibrant, politically active, and heavily watched by both supporters and enemies of parahuman rights. Other areas are shaped by technology companies, old industry, nightlife, or the continuing consequences of superhero battles.

Pacific City’s landmarks include Knight Tower, the old mission plaza, the harbor causeway, the Pacific City Institute of Technology, Nathaniel Nova High School, the Civic Forum, and several memorials to major superhuman conflicts.
