The Gate of Horn and Ivory is one of the great mysteries of Watchstar history. It is a scientific achievement, a disaster waiting to happen, a doorway to infinity, and a memorial to the two scientists who stepped through it and vanished.

It has saved lives, endangered worlds, altered history, brought Jade to Earth-11717, enabled missions against interdimensional threats, and revealed that Crucible Earth is only one strand in a vast web of possibility.

The Gate’s greatest danger is not that it fails. Its greatest danger is that it works.
