== Priests of the Protector ==

Inglorian's clergy often serve as judges, mediators, military chaplains, teachers of law, keepers of oaths, or counselors to rulers. Some belong to martial orders, but priesthood does not imply knighthood, and many Inglorian clergy never carry anything more dangerous than a walking staff.

Their ideal is not severity but fairness.

A good priest listens before judging, distinguishes anger from justice, understands that law exists for people rather than the reverse, and possesses enough courage to tell powerful people things they do not wish to hear.

As with every religious ideal, reality varies.

Some Inglorian clergy become rigid, officious, self-righteous, or overly enamored of authority. The Triadic tradition regards these not as unfortunate personality quirks but as recognizable spiritual failures. A priest who loves judgment more than justice has begun worshipping his own office.
