== Background == Ignacio Morales was a young but accomplished quantum physicist, as well as a dedicated endurance athlete, when his life changed in the course of a laboratory accident. While working with a prototype device designed to manipulate temporal flow, Morales was caught in a cascade of unstable energy that should have proven fatal. Instead, the exposure altered his physiology in a way that blurred the boundary between his perception of time and the passage of events around him. Following a period of recovery, Morales began to experience the full extent of his transformation. He could perceive events fractions of a second before they occurred, move with extraordinary speed, and alter his vibrational state to interact with matter in unconventional ways. These abilities quickly drew attention, not only from those he chose to help, but from the corporate interests responsible for the original experiment. Recognizing both the danger of his powers and the consequences of their replication, Morales chose to act.
