Long before the rise of humanity, before even the first mammals crawled upon the Earth, the world belonged to another race entirely. These beings, remembered in forbidden texts as the '''D'Harque''', ruled the primordial Earth millions of years ago from vast cyclopean cities now buried beneath oceans and tectonic plates. Their civilization wielded terrible sciences and occult powers beyond human comprehension, blending psychic mastery with extradimensional energies drawn from the fabric of reality itself.

The D'Harque were eventually overthrown during a catastrophic war against mysterious celestial forces. Defeated and driven from the Earth, they were cast into a distant and hostile region of the multiverse sometimes called the '''Outer Dark''', a realm of unstable realities and nightmare dimensions where time itself behaves unpredictably.

Exile did not destroy them.

For untold ages the D'Harque plotted their return, manipulating events on Earth through cults, possessed servants, corrupted mystics, and genetically altered agents. They possess immense telepathic abilities capable of dominating weak minds, and many humans willingly became their servants in exchange for power, immortality, or forbidden knowledge.
