Very little verified information exists concerning Trog’s origins. His true name, species, nationality, and history remain unknown, and Doctor Faust has consistently refused to answer questions about him.

Trog first appeared publicly as Faust’s bodyguard during the early years of the Doctor’s criminal activities in Seattle. From the beginning, witnesses noted several unsettling details:

* Trog never seemed surprised.
* Trog almost never spoke.
* Trog obeyed Faust instantly and completely.
* Trog appeared utterly fearless.

Unlike ordinary bodyguards or hired muscle, Trog behaves less like an employee and more like a purpose-built companion whose entire existence revolves around Doctor Faust’s needs and instructions.

Whether this loyalty stems from conditioning, debt, genetic engineering, occult influence, or something stranger remains unclear.
