== A Faith for Mortal Life ==

The Triadic Faith does not primarily concern itself with securing reward after death.

The dead pass toward the [[Sigil:Far Fields|Far Fields]], and what awaits them there remains one of the great mysteries. The Three are not believed to sit in judgment over souls, nor do they threaten unbelievers with eternal torment.

Their teachings are meant for the living.

Justice matters because people live better when power is restrained and wrongs are answered fairly. Mercy matters because every mortal eventually becomes weak, wounded, mistaken, grieving, or dependent upon another person's care. Wisdom matters because courage and compassion without understanding can both produce disaster.

The virtues are valuable in themselves.

A just court is better than a corrupt one.

A merciful ruler is better than a cruel one.

A wise decision prevents suffering that ignorance might create.

The Three do not promise paradise as payment for obedience.

Their virtues are the means by which mortals make the world more worth living in.
