== The Denver Campus == [[File:NovaInstitute.jpg|thumb|300px|The Institute's primary campus in Denver, CO.]] The Nova Institute’s main campus in Denver is a sprawling research complex of laboratories, administrative buildings, conference centers, libraries, secure archives, training facilities, medical wings, containment structures, and specialized testing sites. From the outside, it presents itself as a prestigious private research campus. Behind the public face lie some of the most carefully protected laboratories in North America. The campus includes advanced bioscience labs, secure technology-development units, behavioral research centers, metahuman observation facilities, experimental energy chambers, animal-cognition habitats, and underground levels whose existence is acknowledged only in the most general terms. The Institute also maintains off-site testing grounds, field stations, and affiliated research facilities around the world. Security is extensive but discreet. The Nova Institute is not a prison, military base, or superhero headquarters, but it deals with enough dangerous material that visitors quickly notice the badge checks, reinforced doors, biometric locks, shielded rooms, and polite staff members who always seem to know exactly where everyone is standing.
