== The Lady of Chaos ==

'''Lady of Chaos''' is among Kursa's older titles and reflects an earlier theology in which she was understood more broadly as a Power of disruption and dissolution. The title survives even though modern interpretations have narrowed its meaning. Kursa's chaos is not primarily the chaos of storms, riots, or random destruction. It is the collapse of the structures by which people understand their lives.

A kingdom may remain standing while a ruler loses all faith in governing it. A family may remain physically together while grief destroys every bond that once held it. A soldier may return from war with body and reputation intact yet discover that the person who left home no longer exists. A scholar may retain every fact they ever learned and still lose confidence that knowledge has meaning.

This is Kursa's chaos: not disorder outside the self, but the breaking of the inner arrangement by which the world once made sense.

The title therefore remains appropriate, although its meaning has changed. Kuralkar breaks resistance. Kursa breaks coherence.

She is the Lady of the moment when the map still exists but no longer tells you where you are.
