== Dreadstar The Destructor == One of the Crusaders’ most famous victories came in ''THE CRUSADERS #12'', when the team faced [[Crucible: Dreadstar the Destructor|Dreadstar the Destructor]], a towering intergalactic menace who threatened to destroy Earth. The issue became a classic of the Silver Age, remembered for its enormous stakes, cosmic imagery, and the sight of the Crusaders facing a foe who seemed beyond even their combined power. The Dreadstar story helped define the Crusaders as more than a New York superhero team. From that point forward, they were understood as defenders of Earth itself.
