== Brainwave’s Purpose ==

Brainwave created the Megatrons to prove his superiority over Unity City and its champions. Their attacks were often accompanied by broadcasts, ultimatums, or demands for surrender. He wanted the public to see his machines and understand that ordinary defenses were useless against his intellect.

The Megatrons also served a practical purpose. They allowed Brainwave to fight the Unity League at a distance. Rather than risk himself in direct combat, he could unleash a robot, monitor the battle remotely, study the League’s tactics, and revise the next model accordingly. Every defeat taught him something. Every destroyed Megatron became research for the one that followed.
