To Roberto, abandoning the clan meant abandoning the only honest truth about power:

that fear and violence ultimately governed the world.

Their relationship rapidly transformed into one of the great martial rivalries of the modern era. Tarantula repeatedly hunted Avenger across continents, engaging him in battles that mixed personal hatred, ideological conflict, and lingering traces of mutual respect.
