For years, the Stellar Studios lot languished in disrepair. Soundstages gathered dust. Painted city streets peeled in the sun. Western facades sagged behind locked gates. Old props rusted in warehouses. Dressing rooms became storage closets. The commissary stood silent. Fake mansions stared blankly across cracked pavement.

The abandoned lot became a Hollywood ghost story. Teenagers broke in on dares. Urban explorers traded rumors about hidden tunnels, lost film reels, cursed props, and abandoned star bungalows. Former employees spoke of unpaid ghosts and forgotten scandals. A few low-budget productions used parts of the property without asking too many questions, but the lot remained mostly dormant.

Yet the very qualities that made the property difficult to redevelop made it unexpectedly valuable. It had space. It had walls. It had vehicle access. It had workshops, warehouses, underground service passages, and structures built to absorb noise, conceal activity, and create convincing illusions. It was almost as if the old studio had been waiting to become something stranger.
