== Electrohydraulic Arms ==

Hydraulic Man’s arms use compact artificial-muscle actuators rather than the tremendous telescoping cylinders found in the legs. They are unusually dexterous for machinery of their size and terminate in fully articulated five-fingered hands.

The arms possess tremendous crushing and lifting strength. Hydraulic Man can tear through vehicles, masonry, structural steel, and conventional armor. He can also seize rooftops, towers, and other large structures to stabilize himself when operating at extreme height.

Weapon systems are incorporated into the forearms and hands. Their exact configuration changes as Lipschitz rebuilds the machine, but commonly includes directed-energy emitters, impact projectors, and other devices intended to let him attack opponents who remain irritatingly outside grabbing range.

Shoulder actuators allow the arms to rotate independently without transferring their full momentum into the operator capsule. Even so, powerful swings at maximum extension require the balance computer to produce an immediate counteracting movement through the legs.
