== Notable Researchers And Staff == Over the years, the Nova Institute has employed, hosted, funded, or otherwise been associated with a number of prominent scientists, researchers, and operations personnel, including Duncan Black, Patrick Black, Michael Sargon, Lawrence Sternhagen, and Justin Blaylock. This roster reflects both the Institute’s prestige and its risks. Brilliant people are drawn to the Nova Institute because it offers resources and freedom few other institutions can match. But brilliance does not guarantee wisdom, restraint, or moral stability. Some of the Institute’s former personnel have gone on to distinguished careers. Others have become controversial figures, public dangers, or names quietly removed from donor brochures. The Institute’s internal culture has often been described as dazzling, competitive, and dangerously permissive. Its defenders argue that great science requires boldness. Its critics respond that great science also requires supervision.
