== The Many Names of Inglorian ==

Like all the [[Sigil:Powers|Powers]], Inglorian is Many-Named. No single appearance, title, or sex is believed to contain his full nature, and different peoples have encountered or imagined him through forms appropriate to their own histories.

Among the knights of [[Sigil:Angharais|Angharais]], Inglorian is often represented as a crowned warrior standing before a radiant sun, the sword held upright rather than raised to strike. This is the Protector as lawful strength: armed, vigilant, and answerable for what the weapon does.

In [[Sigil:Tael Brannoch|Tael Brannoch]], old traditions call Inglorian '''the Chainbearer'''. Here the chain does not represent imprisonment but restraint: strength willingly bound by duty. The strongest person is not the one without limits, but the one capable of imposing limits upon himself.

Sarrivellan sailors know a more radiant aspect, the '''Sunlord''', bold against storm and darkness, while old Rhessan traditions favor the simpler title '''the Warden'''. The latter possesses little royal imagery. He is imagined as a stern traveler or armed guardian standing watch where danger approaches.

These are not believed to be separate beings.

They are different windows upon the same Power.
