The Wizard possessed genuine occult powers derived from extradimensional and supernatural entities he invoked by name during spellcasting.

His known magical abilities included:

* Illusion casting
* Summoning rituals
* Levitation
* Mystical barriers
* Teleportation effects
* Transformation spells
* Hypnosis and enchantment
* Dimensional manifestations

The exact limits of his powers were unclear even to the Wizard himself. His spells could fluctuate wildly in effectiveness depending upon circumstance, emotional state, and whatever entities he happened to be invoking at the time.
