== Szilard and Saël ==

The relationship between Szilard and [[Sigil:Saël|Saël]] has generated endless speculation because both are associated with the living, changing character of the world. The distinction usually drawn is that Saël is the Breath of the World: the responsive current moving through life, place, weather, memory, season, and living pattern. Szilard, by contrast, appears to concern the deeper fact that patterns can cease to be what they were.

Saël moves within the world.

Szilard may be something closer to the world's capacity to become other than itself.

This formulation remains metaphor rather than established doctrine, and wise scholars keep it that way. To say that Szilard is “the furnace of creation” may illuminate something without proving that a furnace literally exists beneath the world.

The language of theology is frequently most useful when everyone remembers that it is language.
