The question of whether Darke possesses genuine magical abilities has never been conclusively answered.

Certainly he possesses extraordinary skill, dexterity, perception, and knowledge.

Yet there remain incidents for which no satisfactory explanation has ever been offered.

Witnesses have reported seeing him appear where he could not possibly have been.

Others claim he has accurately predicted future events.

Several respected scholars insist they have observed feats that cannot be explained by trickery alone.

Darke's response remains unchanged:
