One of the darkest discoveries in Star Key’s history was the revelation that a secret submarine dock had been built beneath the mansion long before Watchstar arrived. [[Crucible:Michael Andrews|Michael Andrews]] was deeply disturbed to learn of its existence, since the mansion had belonged to his family for decades.

The dock was constructed by [[Crucible:Wendell Andrews|Wendell Andrews]], one of Michael’s ancestors and a Nazi sympathizer during the Second World War. It had been designed to accommodate German U-boats operating covertly off the American coast. The discovery exposed a shameful hidden chapter in the Andrews family history.

For Michael Andrews, the revelation was transformative. The knowledge that his family’s wealth and property had once been tied to such betrayal helped inspire him to become [[Crucible:Gauntlet|the Gauntlet]], dedicating himself to heroism as a way to atone for his family’s sins.
