== Wagons ==

Among Wanderfolk, few possessions carry more practical and emotional importance than a good wagon.

Wagons vary enormously.

Some are small and light enough for difficult roads. Others are substantial homes on wheels. Some carry trade goods. Some are workshops. Some belong to performers, healers, or craftspeople whose occupations determine much of their interior arrangement.

They are maintained carefully because failure far from settlement can be dangerous.

Repairs therefore accumulate.

A wheel may have been made in Rhess, an axle replaced in Angharais, a cabinet added by a grandfather in Sarrivel, and a painted panel received as a wedding gift somewhere no living member of the household has visited since.

Old wagons become family histories in wood, iron, leather, cloth, and paint.

When one can no longer travel, pieces are often retained.

A door may become part of a house.

A carved panel may hang above a hearth.

The journey does not necessarily end when the wheels stop turning.
