== Origin ==

Lizette Avalon was a rising engineer working for the Canadian Dominion government, specializing in advanced weapons systems and powered armor technology.

Her life changed during a violent assault.

The Montreal laboratory where she worked was attacked by [[Crucible:HAVOC|HAVOC]] operatives seeking to steal the plans for the experimental armor she had helped design. Faced with the imminent loss of her work—and her life—Avalon made a split-second decision.

She put the armor on.

Despite having no formal field training, Avalon piloted the suit into combat and successfully repelled the attackers. Her performance was decisive, improvisational, and highly effective.

It also made her indispensable.
