== Origin ==

Lurton Borglund grew up on the wrong side of the monorail tracks in [[Crucible:Unity City|Unity City]], where trouble came early and often. Petty crime, street fights, and constant run-ins with the law shaped his youth, and he showed little interest in changing course.

One of his teachers—a chemistry professor—saw potential in him and attempted to guide him toward a better future. The effort was wasted.

Behind the professor’s back, Borglund began stealing chemicals and selling them on the black market, using his access to school resources to turn a profit. His activities eventually drew the attention of the authorities.

== The Accident ==

Pursued by Unity City police, Borglund fled with a cache of stolen chemicals. During the chase, the containers shattered, soaking him in a volatile mixture of compounds.

He was captured shortly afterward and placed in custody.
