Fast, reckless, and opportunistic, he became a recurring threat during the Silver Age and a frequent adversary of the Unity League. == Origin == Lurton Borglund grew up on the wrong side of the monorail tracks in Unity City, where trouble came early and often. Petty crime, street fights, and constant run-ins with the law shaped his youth, and he showed little interest in changing course. One of his teachers—a chemistry professor—saw potential in him and attempted to guide him toward a better future. The effort was wasted. Behind the professor’s back, Borglund began stealing chemicals and selling them on the black market, using his access to school resources to turn a profit. His activities eventually drew the attention of the authorities. == The Accident == Pursued by Unity City police, Borglund fled with a cache of stolen chemicals. During the chase, the containers shattered, soaking him in a volatile mixture of compounds. He was captured shortly afterward and placed in custody. Days later, the effects manifested. Borglund discovered he could move at extraordinary speeds, his reflexes sharpened to match. Within moments of realizing what had happened, he escaped confinement—too fast for guards to react. He moved like a human projectile. He called himself Bullet. == Criminal Career == With his new abilities, Bullet entered the super-criminal world, using speed as both weapon and escape. His crimes were fast, chaotic, and difficult to counter, making him a persistent nuisance and occasional serious threat. His talents eventually attracted the attention of Mesmerio, who recruited him into the Marauders. Within the group, Bullet served as a rapid-response operative, ideal for hit-and-run tactics, distraction, and infiltration. Despite working with others, Bullet has always retained a street-level mindset, more interested in quick gains than long-term strategy. == Powers == Bullet possesses significant superhuman speed. * Superhuman Velocity – Can run faster than a sports car * Enhanced Reflexes – Reacts at speeds matching his movement * Agility And Coordination – Maintains control at high velocity His speed makes him difficult to hit and even harder to contain. == Skills == Borglund’s abilities are complemented by practical experience. * Basic knowledge of chemistry and physical sciences * Street-level survival and criminal skills * Experience with theft, evasion, and escape tactics He relies more on instinct than planning. == Technology == Bullet does not rely on advanced technology. * Occasionally uses stolen or improvised equipment * Minimal gear to avoid slowing himself down His speed is his primary asset. == Personality == Lurton Borglund is impulsive, cocky, and opportunistic. He enjoys the rush of speed and the advantage it gives him, often taking risks simply because he believes he can outrun the consequences. He has little patience for authority or structure, which limits his effectiveness in organized groups but makes him unpredictable in the field. He doesn’t plan ahead. He reacts—and moves. == Legacy == Bullet represents a classic Silver Age transformation: accident, power, and immediate misuse. His story is less about ambition and more about momentum—once set in motion, he never really stopped. In a world of masterminds and conquerors, Bullet is something simpler. Fast, dangerous— and always moving. </div> CCNav
