== Origin ==

Garko Prevveius was born among the Grakklin, a species deeply embedded in the vast commercial networks of the [[Crucible:S'Taa Dominion|S’Taa Dominion]]. From an early age, he traveled the spaceways aboard merchant vessels, learning the rhythms of trade, navigation, and survival across countless worlds.

He did not stay in one place long.

For Garko, the galaxy itself was home.

Over time, he developed a reputation as a capable wanderer—someone who could find a route where none seemed to exist, and talk his way through places where others would be turned away.

== Meeting Space Ace ==

Garko’s path crossed with [[Crucible:Space Ace|Space Ace]] when the ''[[Crucible:The Sweet Petunia|Sweet Petunia]]'' suffered a catastrophic failure and was left stranded in orbit around a remote world of the Karnak Empire.

Recognizing the legendary pilot, Garko stepped in to help repair the ship’s engines. The situation quickly escalated when a pirate vessel arrived, sensing an easy target.

Instead, they found resistance.

Garko fought alongside Space Ace and the crew, proving both his skill and his nerve. Impressed, Space Ace invited him to join the crew.

He accepted.

== The Name “Gekko” ==

It was Space Ace who gave Garko the nickname '''Gekko''', a reference to his resemblance to a small Earth lizard. The name stuck, and Garko adopted it with the same easy adaptability he brought to everything else.

== Role In The Star Squadron ==

As a member of [[Crucible:The Star Squadron|the Star Squadron]], Gekko serves multiple roles.

He is a scout, able to move through tight or hazardous environments where others cannot. He is a guide, drawing on his extensive knowledge of worlds, trade routes, and cultures. And he is a combatant, capable of holding his own in the unpredictable conflicts that define the Squadron’s missions.
