The '''Hyperguard''' is the elite superhuman defender corps of the [[Crucible:Karnak Empire|Karnak Empire]], sworn to protect the Empire from all interstellar threats. Drawn from the countless species and worlds under Karnak dominion, the Hyperguard represents the pinnacle of Imperial power, prestige, and military heroism.

Membership in the Hyperguard is considered one of the highest honors within the Empire. Candidates are selected not only for extraordinary abilities, but for absolute loyalty to Imperial authority and the preservation of Karnak civilization.

Each member of the team embodies the unique strengths of their species, resulting in a formidable combination of cosmic powers, advanced technologies, psionic mastery, and military discipline. The Hyperguard operates across vast distances of space, intervening in planetary crises, alien invasions, rebellions, and wars that threaten Imperial stability.

To the citizens of Karnak space, the Hyperguard are legendary protectors and symbols of order. To the Empire’s enemies, they are feared enforcers of Imperial will.

Though nominally heroic, the Hyperguard’s unwavering defense of Imperial prerogatives has frequently placed the team in conflict with independent heroes and organizations.
