Dr. Marta Beck was once a respected biomedical researcher specializing in advanced cellular regeneration and reconstructive medicine. Her groundbreaking work centered on a revolutionary serum capable of reshaping living human tissue through precisely controlled electrical impulses.

Beck envisioned the discovery as a miracle treatment for burn victims, trauma survivors, and the severely disfigured.

The pharmaceutical corporation funding her research envisioned something else.

Executives quickly realized that a treatment capable of permanently correcting physical disfigurement threatened several of the company’s more profitable long-term medical markets. According to Beck, internal pressure mounted almost immediately to suppress or redirect the project.

Marta refused.

That refusal nearly killed her.

== Betrayal ==
Determined to silence her permanently, corporate agents attempted to murder Beck by injecting her with an unstable version of her own experimental serum, believing it to be lethally toxic. They abandoned her afterward, expecting the altered compound to destroy her body.

Instead, it transformed her.

The serum destabilized Beck’s cellular structure, leaving her horribly disfigured for a time while simultaneously granting her unprecedented control over her own physical form. Her cells became mutable, responsive to conscious thought and neurological impulses.
