At the same time, relations between the university and the city are not always smooth. Pinnacle’s expansion has caused neighborhood disputes. Its laboratories raise safety concerns. Its elite status can irritate working-class Unity City residents who see the university as wealthy, insulated, and far too fond of naming buildings after donors.
