'''Professor Kosmos''' is the criminal identity of '''Otto Korolev''', a brilliant aerospace engineer and space scientist whose prolonged isolation in orbit transformed him into one of the strangest and most dangerous reclusive villains of the modern era. Afflicted with a debilitating disease that made planetary gravity lethal to him, Korolev gradually abandoned Earth psychologically as well as physically, eventually declaring orbital space his sovereign domain.

== Early Life ==

Otto Korolev emerged from the scientific institutions of the Iron Curtain during the height of the Cold War, quickly establishing himself as one of the most gifted aerospace engineers and orbital construction theorists of his generation.

Reserved, intensely intellectual, and socially distant even before his transformation, Korolev devoted nearly every aspect of his life to rocketry, zero-gravity engineering, and long-duration orbital habitation systems.

Then his body betrayed him.

== The Bone Disease ==

Korolev contracted a rare degenerative bone disorder that progressively weakened his skeletal structure under normal gravitational conditions. Conventional medicine proved unable to halt the disease, and over time even standing or walking beneath Earth gravity became agonizing.
