'''Spinnerette''' is a terrifying arachnid herald of [[Crucible:The Terror|the Terror]] and one of the infamous [[Crucible:The Stormriders|Stormriders]]. Once an outcast criminal from a medieval-dimensional civilization of spider-like humanoids, Spinnerette became responsible — directly or indirectly — for the destruction of her own world after making psychic contact with the Terror through a forbidden artifact.

Empowered afterward as one of the Terror’s servants, she evolved from desperate thief into a monstrous interdimensional predator.

Among the Stormriders, few embodied betrayal more completely.

== Origins ==

Spinnerette originated on a distant alternate world inhabited by intelligent arachnid humanoids whose civilization combined medieval social structures, primitive mysticism, and biological adaptations derived from spider-like physiology.

Little survives of the world itself now beyond fragments gathered from dimensional archives and Stormrider encounters. Available evidence suggests Spinnerette existed on the margins of her society long before her transformation — a thief, outlaw, and social exile feared even among her own people.

She survived through burglary, black-market dealings, and predatory instinct.

Eventually, greed led her somewhere she should never have entered.

== The Wizard’s Tower ==

While attempting to rob the home of a powerful mystic, Spinnerette discovered an ancient psionic artifact hidden among forbidden magical relics. The object apparently functioned as a dimensional beacon or psychic bridge linked to entities existing far beyond normal reality.

When Spinnerette touched the artifact, she made direct mental contact with [[Crucible:The Terror|the Terror]].

The consequences were catastrophic.

Whether through deliberate betrayal or terrified manipulation, Spinnerette revealed the location of her world to the Terror’s interdimensional consciousness. Soon afterward, the Terror’s forces descended upon the planet, consuming or annihilating much of its civilization.

The exact scale of destruction remains unclear.

What is certain is that Spinnerette survived.

And the Terror rewarded her.

== Herald Of The Terror ==

Following the fall of her world, Spinnerette was transformed into one of the [[Crucible:The Stormriders|Stormriders]], empowered as a herald and servant of the Terror’s expanding dimensional campaigns.

The process amplified her already dangerous biology into something vastly more lethal.

As a Stormrider, Spinnerette became a hunter, infiltrator, and living symbol of corruption through temptation. Unlike more openly militaristic heralds, she specialized in entrapment, pursuit, and psychological predation.

Many dimensional civilizations later destroyed by the Terror came to associate her appearance with inevitable catastrophe.

If Spinnerette arrived first, the end was usually close behind.

== Powers ==

Spinnerette possesses extensive arachnid and energy-based abilities.

Her powers include:

* Plasma-energy web generation
* Enhanced climbing ability
* Poisonous bite
* Superhuman agility
* Accelerated reflexes

Spinnerette became one of the most disturbing members of the [[Crucible:The Stormriders|Stormriders]], combining gothic fantasy, dimensional horror, arachnid monstrosity, and tragic betrayal into a memorable alternate-reality villain.

Because she did not conquer her world.

She simply opened the door for something worse.
