== Agatha Payne ==

Agatha Payne grew up in [[Crucible:Pacific City|Pacific City]], the daughter of Abigail Payne, a practicing witch who concealed her magical abilities in order to live a quiet and relatively normal life. Abigail understood all too well the dangers surrounding occult power and hoped to spare her daughter from becoming entangled in that world.

Unfortunately, Aggie inherited not only her mother’s magical talent, but none of her caution.

Spoiled, intelligent, manipulative, and intensely curious, Agatha discovered her mother’s hidden spellbooks while still young and began teaching herself magic in secret. What began as childish experimentation rapidly evolved into serious occult study.

By the time she entered [[Crucible:Nathaniel Nova High School|Nathaniel Nova High School]], Aggie was already a remarkably capable young spellcaster.

And already using magic for entirely selfish purposes.

== Teenage Sorceress ==

Aggie quickly developed a reputation as a manipulator and troublemaker. She used spells for cheating, theft, intimidation, humiliation, revenge, and elaborate pranks that often crossed into outright cruelty. Teachers and classmates alike sensed something deeply unsettling beneath her polished exterior long before anyone understood the truth.

Magic amplified traits Aggie already possessed:

entitlement, arrogance, and appetite for control.

Still, her abilities also made her useful.

When [[Crucible:The Answer|Computron]] organized the teenage supervillain team [[Crucible:Rock n' Roll|Rock n' Roll]], Aggie eagerly joined. As the group’s occult specialist, she contributed magical support, curses, illusions, and supernatural problem-solving during the team’s conflicts with the [[Crucible:Supernova Squadron|Supernova Squadron]] and other young heroes.

Unlike some members of the team, however, Aggie never viewed villainy as rebellion or adolescent acting out.

She genuinely enjoyed it.

== Training Under Madam Winter ==

Following graduation and the eventual collapse of Rock n’ Roll, Aggie sought more formal magical instruction. She became a student of [[Crucible:Madam Winter|Madam Winter]], whose teachings expanded Aggie’s understanding of occult traditions, ritual structures, dimensional forces, and arcane languages far beyond her original self-taught abilities.

The relationship proved volatile.

Madam Winter reportedly admired Aggie’s raw potential while simultaneously distrusting her complete lack of ethical restraint. Aggie, meanwhile, respected Madam Winter’s knowledge but disliked being controlled or disciplined.

Even so, the education transformed White Witch from a talented amateur into a truly formidable occult practitioner.

White Witch is an extremely powerful hereditary mage with broad magical capabilities.

Her powers include:
