Deadly Force is a group of villains with a common origin, which makes them work well together as a team. They are a well-known opponent of many West Coast super-teams. Membership includes:

• The Master (Josiah Dance) is the team's leader, a mysterious genius who created the other members of Deadly Force with his own scientific skills.
• Whisper (Alys Dance) is the Master's daughter, a superhumanly strong and skilled martial artist.
• Shimmer (Veronique Shaw) can cast devastating illusions.
• Mauler (Darrel Boggs) loves his diamond-edged chainsaw.
