Real Name: Dr. Marta Beck
Background: Dr. Marta Beck was a skilled researcher who discovered a serum that would enable the re-shaping of human cells with electrical impulses. She intended to use it to help the seriously disfigured. But the drug company she worked for saw this as a threat to their profits and wanted her silenced. In an attempt to kill her, company thugs injected her with her own serum, thinking it a poison, and left her for dead. She emerged disfigured, but with the ability to reshape her own form at will. The elixir affected her mind, and, after exacting her revenge on the executives at her old company, she realized she could use her new powers for profit rather than benefit.
She later joined forces with Doctor Sanity to create the Bad News.

Powers: Masque can mimic any humanoid form.
Skills: Beck is a skilled biologist and skilled observer of human behavior. She has taught herself to be an actor so as to better assume the role of those she mimics.
Technology: Masque makes use of a pocket holographic generator she picked up in her crimes, to create deceptive illusions.
