Real Name: Simon Matthews

Background: Simon Matthews was a child prodigy in the world of technology and a teenaged inventor. Early on he invented a practical system for generating fusion power, as well as a way of wirelessly connecting digital devices together, named after his childhood toy bear, Bluetooth. His genius brought him to the attention of Michael Sargon, and Simon was offered an honored place in Sargon's intended scientific utopia. But Simon rejected Sargon's offer. Sargon then tried to kill him with a robot death squad, but he managed to fend off Sargon's attack with Watchstar's help. He was soon asked by Protector and Gauntlet to be the technologist for Watchstar and to build all of their technology and vehicles. He has a been an active member, or associated with the team, in all of its various incarnations. He is the older brother of Booster. Surge is his best friend.

Tech recently turned his hand, and his vast fortune, to the creation of a manned space program and a colonization effort aimed at other worlds.
