Real Name: Michael "Mikey" DiAngelo
Background: Mikey DiAngelo grew up on the mean streets of a bad neighborhood in Pacific City. As a teen he was bullied by a gang of local punks. They cornered him in an alley and were likely to kill him, when suddenly Mikey suddenly felt an incredible rush of power. He suddenly could project a sort of psychic beam that disabled the punks. He called it his blade and suddenly he had nothing to fear from anyone.
He was eventually approached by Dr. Julian Li, headmaster of the Pacific Academy, who offered the young man a full scholarship. Mikey wanted more than his dead-end life and knew opportunity was knocking, so he accepted it.
He has become the leader of the Academy's super-team, the Avant Guard. He and Yeti are best friends and roommates and often get into trouble together.
Group Affiliation: The Avant Guard
Powers: Blade can project a devastating psychic attack. He is developing other psychic abilities under Dr. Li's tutelage.
Skills: Blade grew up on the streets, and is comfortable moving in the underworld.
