The ninja clan called the Secret Swords has its roots far back in medieval Japan. They are a highly mysterious order who work worldwide on missions of assassination and terror, using traditional ninja methods. In addition to these methods, such as ambush and poison, they are rumored to use demonic magic to accomplish their goals.

The Secret Swords trained the vigilante Avenger, who left them abruptly, and they have attempted to kill him several times over the years.

Membership of the Secret Swords has included:
