Crucible:Johnny Cab
Background: Amanda Matthews never counted on creating artificial life when she built an autonomous self-driving taxi. But she accidentally used irradiated computer chips to build his robotic brain. The self-driving car, which she called Johnny, developed sentience and woke up. Johnny was now no mere robot anymore but an intelligent being. Amanda had to let it choose his own destiny. And what Johnny decided he wanted was to help people like Booster did! He chose to be a superhero! With his super speed and toughness, he was a natural. it wasn't too long before he was recruited by Jersey Devil for the Good Guys.
Booster originally built him using a 1940s movie cabbie as a template, and he retains the cheerful can-do persona of that character.
Group Affiliation: The Good Guys
Powers: Johnny is an advanced. autonomous electric car operated by a super-powerful computer. As such it has all the powers that any car might have: metal skin, superior speed, and heated seats. Booster has also equipped him with a range of non-lethal weapons. Johnny also serves as transport for the Good Guys.
Johnny can communicate via an artificial voice generator, and can monitor local radio communications. He also has a horn to beep beep!
Skills: Johnny has scanned a huge number of detective novels and taught himself the art of deduction.
Tech: For easier access to human-sized spaces like doorways, stairs, and houses, Johnny has a remote two-legged robotic drone that he can use to interact with people.
