Crucible:X-plorers
World-famous scientist and polymath Dr. Indio Xander was a pioneer in many technical and scientific fields and became fantastically wealthy from his many patents. After he went missing on a mission to South America, the four Xander teenage children, each one a brilliant prodigy, began their own scientific inquiries, going on scientific adventures, exploring odd corners of the world and strange occurrences with their scientific tools and training. They named their team the X-plorers. They have stopped sacrificial cults, drug-fueled zombies, vengeful ghosts, Lovecraftian monsters, mass suicides, humming buildings, and other oddities.
Each of the Xanders has their own specialty.
- Ryken (team leader): Ryker achieved an advanced degree in particle physics at Pinnacle University when he was only 15.
- Annabel: A brilliant pilot and driver, she is also a black belt in karate.
- Caine: The engineer of the team, he has a natural, intuitive way with devices.
- Seren: The team's historian and archaeologist.
The X-plorers are based in their family mansion in Colorado.
