Background: CYCLOPS is Dr. Navin Gurnani, a brilliant but unstable engineer once lauded for pioneering optical technology. Obsessed with creating the "perfect vision," a lab accident cost him an eye and his sanity. Veidt built a one-eyed suit of advanced powered armor, capable of firing devastating energy beams and enhanced with surveillance tech that grants him near-omniscient awareness. Driven by vengeance against the corporate world that discarded him after his accident, CYCLOPS now uses his genius and armor to bend society to his will, declaring himself the ultimate overseer of a chaotic world. His motto: "One vision to rule them all." He has clashed time and again with the superhero Protector, almost killing him once.
