Real Name: Harper St. Clair

Background: When Harper St. Clair was a boy growing up in New Orleans, his mother made a deal with a Cajun sorceress to protect her son's life. She didn't know the half of it. When Harper grew up and became a private detective, he was beaten to death by thugs working for the wizard Bad Moon. But the sorceress' charm, cast on him as a boy, resurrected him as a spirit of vengeance. He could be killed, sometimes painfully, but he would always be return to seek vengeance on those who had wronged him.

Harper St. Clair walked again, as the Ghoul, an avenger of injustice.

Group Affiliation: The Ghoul has teamed with Hex on several occasions.

Status: Active

Powers: The Ghoul is superhumanly strong and impervious to pain, and can move silently. He also has a 'death touch' that can inflict mortal injury.

Skills: In life, Harper was a skilled detective. He no longer works as a detective but prefers to play jazz clarinet.
